The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) conducted a 5-day enumeration survey training from Sept. 6-10 for 52 LGU representatives in preparation for the City's DevLive+ application roll out.

Among the participants from the city's core team members are Mr. Brix Cafuir of the City Planning and Development Office (CPDO) and 10 GPS operators.

The participants were trained on how to conduct enumerators' surveys. The inputs from the enumerators' survey will include information on the barangays' household units, building structures, and production area. The information on household units will comprise of characteristics such as living arrangements, source of income or livelihood, education and literacy, access to basic services, and level of climate change and disaster preparedness.

For the information on building structures, building characteristics are included such as residential, institutional, commercial, and industrial. Aside from that, information on the location includes the coordinates and the numbers of daytime and night time occupants in the area. Finally, the information on the production area includes which type of production activity is in the area such as farming, poultry, livestock, fishing, and others.

Managed and implemented by UNDP, the DevLive+ application is a tool to collect, organize, visualize, and manage local data and information to assess the barangays' vulnerabilities and exposures to climate change, natural hazards, and other pressing societal issues. In this way, the City Government will be able to create policies and decisions to achieve sustainability and progress in communities.
